It all started when…

my Border Collie, Darcy, joined our family when she was 3 months old. I found that I would take my camera out on most of my walks with her; taking pictures and creating memories of our time together.

Although I had been a photographer for most of my life, specialising in dog photography was what I really wanted to do. In December 2018 I took early retirement from BT and started my own business as an ‘on location’ dog photographer. To me, this is not a job - it’s a passion of mine and I like to think this comes out in the photoshoot experience and images I produce for many happy clients.

I am extremely passionate about my photography and, therefore, only photograph dogs and their owners. This enables me to use and develop my skills in creating the best dog photography experience for my clients.

Location photography seems the most obvious choice to me. I feel that dogs don’t want to be in a studio, surrounded with flash lights and props. They would rather be outdoors in their natural environment running, playing and just having fun. That is what I aim to capture; a dog’s real personality for that treasured memory.

I have also worked with animal charities like Blue Cross supporting them with photographic content and have been published many times for my work.

I am also a member of the Guild of Photographers and won awards for my dog photography as you see can in my showcase gallery including the coveted Photographers bar 2020 and 2022
